The third round of the 2009 Powerboat P1 World Championship takes us to San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy during the weekend 4th-5th July.

The Championship creates a dramatic spectacle, as the sleek yet highly powered racing boats embark upon a series of closely fought off-shore endurance races across Europe and the Middle East. The venues for 2009 are Malta, Turkey, Italy ,Sweden, Sicily and Bahrain.

Teams from around the world will compete in the Evolution or Supersport Class races.

After Round 2 in Turkey, the Evolution class is led by British Team Silverline (47)  and the Supersports Class by the Seagull Chaudron Ukrainian Spirit (43)
