In May 2009, more than 25,000 Mini fans from around the globe descended on the legendary Silverstone circuit for an extraordinary and action-packed celebration of the style icon that defied convention and became an instant classic.

This film gives you access all areas to the biggest ever Mini United festival. You get up close with classic, modern and modified Minis, hear from enthusiasts and famous fans, experience thrilling race and stunt action, plus discover what the future holds for this popular little car.

British Touring Car Champion and TV commentator Tim Harvey is our guide as we soak up the unique carnival atmosphere and become part of the ever-friendly Mini community as owners and fans explain the enduring popularity of this mould-breaking little wonder.

There’s a mouth-watering array of personalised Minis from around the world, original classics - including the very first to roll off the Oxford production line in 1959 - and the very latest John Cooper Works creation makes an appearance. Top stunt driver Russ Swift is on hand to demonstrate just how excellent the Mini’s handling is with his spectacular skills, and rally legend Paddy Hopkirk recalls his 1964 Monte-Carlo Rally victory, which set the Mini on the road to becoming a world-beater on the motorsport stage.

The highlights just keep coming as we enjoy this incredible birthday party: a world record for the biggest collection of the limited edition Mini GPs; classic and modern Minis in fast and furious racetrack action; a look into the future with a glimpse of the all-wheel-drive concept Mini and the electric-powered Mini E - there was just so much to enjoy at Mini United 09.
